Lisa Harper

As the director of Women's Outreach at Focus on the Family, Lisa recognized "the deep need among women of all ages to be encouraged and equipped in their faith, and to hear a clear presentation the Gospel of Jesus Christ." In order to help meet those needs, Lisa presented her dream and vision for a national women's conference to Dr. Dobson and the leadership team at Focus on the Family. With their approval and Lisa's direction, Renewing the Heart, became a reality. Over 19,000 women attended the first Renewing the Heart conference in September 1997 and over 100,000 women have attended a conference thus far.

In addition to speaking at all of Focus on the Family's Renewing the Heart conferences, Lisa speaks at women's retreats and other events around the country and is known for her authenticity and humorous anecdotes as she shares Biblical truths. Lisa now lives in Nashville, Tennessee, where she serves as director of Women's Ministries at Christ Presbyterian Church.

Lisa recently coauthored two books: May Bell’s Daughter (with Eva Whittington Self, available from Thomas Nelson Publishers, and Renewed Hearts, Changed Lives (with Focus on the Family), available from Tyndale House Publishers. Lisa was also the executive producer on both Renewing the Heart Live albums (Sparrow Records), which have generated several No. 1 Christian radio singles and the first recording won the Dove Award for Praise and Worship Album of the Year.
